The Grand at Grandview Yard Wedding | Real Bride Maddie
Long before "I do," Maddie and Brandon were simply two freshmen in high school marching band, standing side by side during competitions and filling rehearsal breaks with easy conversation. What started as a teenage friendship quickly became a love that grows stronger with time. When Brandon asked Maddie to take their relationship from best friends to something more, they made a promise: no matter what, their friendship would always come first. Nearly 13 years later, that promise still defines their love story.

Their relationship carried them from high school to college, where they continued as sweethearts while planning a future they both knew was inevitable. “We knew since freshman year of college that we were always going to spend our lives together,” Maddie shared. They talked about rings, dreams, and life after graduation.
Almost a year after graduating college, Brandon proposed in the most sentimental way. His sister invited them to shop at Polaris Fashion Place — a mall near his parents’ home that held so many memories from their teenage years. Maddie thought nothing of it until Brandon casually walked her over to where his parents were standing … and dropped down on one knee. It was in the exact spot where they had taken their very first official photo as a dating couple years before.

When it came time to find her wedding dress, Maddie visited Luxe Redux Bridal Columbus with two priorities in mind: uniqueness and affordability. Fresh out of college and planning a budget-conscious wedding, she wanted a gown that felt one-of-a-kind without sacrificing affordability. Luxe Redux offered exactly that balance — designer style at a price point that made sense.

The dress she said “yes” to was nothing like what she imagined.
“I came in wanting a full ball gown, princess look, simple,” she explained. Instead, she fell head over heels for Vow'd Hazel, a fit and flare silhouette featuring intricate lace, glittering details, and a long, dramatic train. The gown made her feel empowering and beautiful. “I fell in love with the way every curve I thought I hated was seen beautifully,” she shared. It was a moment of confidence, choosing a dress that not only surprised her, but transformed the way she saw herself.

On August 17, 2024, Maddie and Brandon said “I do” in Columbus, Ohio, surrounded by family, friends, and a color palette rich with symbolism. As an artist with a love for color theory and styling, Maddie intentionally curated hues that told their story. Deep reds honored their high school and college colors. Gold represented everlasting love. Soft pinks symbolized unconditional love and romance — a nod to their sweetheart journey that began all those years ago in marching band.
But the most unforgettable moment of the day was their first look.

She turned the corner to see Brandon standing with his back to her, their family and bridal party gathered in the distance. And in that instant, it all became real. “I just burst into tears,” she said. When he turned around and saw her for the first time, the look on his face said everything. Years of friendship, love, growth, and promise culminated in that single moment.
Maddie's advice to future #luxereduxbrides? “Take a second to breathe. There are things you can control and cannot control on your wedding day. You can only do so much to prep for the day, but when the day comes, all that matters is at the end of the day, I’m married to my best friend.”

From high school marching band to "I do," Maddie and Brandon’s love story is proof that the very best marriages begin with friendship. We are so honored Maddie chose Luxe Redux Bridal Columbus to be part of her journey — and we couldn’t be more joyful watching these two step confidently into their forever.
