How can you be sure the gowns you're perusing on our website are authentic? How are our prices this great? We're so glad you asked!
Where Do Our Gowns Come From?
Luxe Redux partners with authorized, special order bridal gown retailers all over the country to source our curated collection of designer sample gowns. These dresses, although still stunning and in great condition, often need to be pushed out to make room for new collections. Boutiques needing to downsize responsibly offer dresses that are in great condition but need a new runway.
Take for example, our sister store,
La Jeune Mariee, located in our flagship city of Columbus, Ohio. La Jeune Mariee carries top designers such as
Monique Lhuillier,
Watters,
Ines Di Santo, and many other well known bridal designers. Luxe Redux partners with hundreds of stores like La Jeune Mariee and assists them with giving new life to their bridal gown inventory that they no longer have room for . Rest assured, all of the bridal gowns we receive are real, authentic and still have the designer label and care tags attached on the inside of the gown. We do not accept counterfeit apparel or from sources in which we do not have a relationship.
Why Buy a Sample Wedding Dress?
At special order boutiques, brides try on sample gowns until they find their favorite. Once they say yes to the dress, the boutique puts the sample gown back on the rack and orders a new, customized one in the bride’s size and shade. 6-9 months later, it’s ready for pick-up and alterations.
Buying a sample gown is different! When you find the dress of your dreams, we don’t put it back; we lovingly zip it into a garment bag and send it home with you that very day for a fraction of the retail price.
Additionally, the fashion industry is the second-highest polluting industry in the world. The production of a special order dress from a traditional boutique requires significant materials, and often results in unnecessary waste during the production process. In contrast, choosing a sample bridal gown gives new life to one that already exists. By choosing a sample dress, you're reducing the carbon footprint in the fashion industry by preventing the creation of an entirely new gown + contributing to a more sustainable wedding dress shopping experience!
Designer Images
While we would love to take individual photos of all of our gowns, we receive hundreds of wedding dresses from across the United States each week. Hence, why we use the designer images to represent the gowns we have for sale at a discounted price. We unfortunately do not have the time or resources to individually photograph each gown, and our primary goal is to list the gown for sale as soon as possible for the sake of brides looking and our retailers receiving a return on their investment.
Transparency
We believe in transparency, and we will absolutely list any imperfections seen on the gown upon its arrival and list as such in the description. If a bride would like additional photos of the gown, they are encouraged to
reach out to our online stylist and request detailed photos. W
e take great pride in our inventory + personally select each dress that finds a home in one of our boutiques. If a gown arrives and doesn't meet our standards, we send it back to its original home. Now real talk; we do accept samples that may need a little extra love. This may include a loose button or broken zipper, but we're confident that a skilled seamstress can fix these imperfections. And guess what? These tiny flaws mean big discounts!
"As an owner of a Bridal Consulting Agency, Trade Show Company and Distribution Center, I could not love Luxe Redux more. I have known the owner, Lindsay Fork, for 18 years and I have support and trust in everything she does. Lindsay is always in the forefront of creating needs in the market and does not scare easily, which I respect immensely. The bridal industry took a hit during COVID and some changes needed to be made. What is also reassuring is knowing that you can trust that if a gown is at Luxe Redux, you are working with an extremely professional and diligent team. We work with over 20 bridal gown designers and Lindsay and her team are the first people we reach out to when needing to move inventory and we wouldn’t have it any other way!" - Kimberly Marcoux, Co-Founder, Coterie White + Melange de Blanc
