Real Bride Feature // Angelina + Gabe
#luxereduxbride Angelina + her hubs are college sweethearts who had the most stunning wedding in Champaign, Illinois!
Angelina + Gabe first met in college. She was a freshman + he was a senior about to graduate.
"I had a crush on Gabe my freshman year, but never said much more than 'hi'. The first day of my sophomore year of college, I was walking into one of my classes and saw Gabe. After catching up a little bit, he explained he decided to stay for an extra semester and we realized we were going into the same class. I started saving him a seat because he would come straight from work (and to make sure he sat by me). He asked me out on a study date for our first exam. The rest was history."
The pair were engaged a few years later, during a road trip to Colorado.
"I thought it was just a vacation and an engagement did not cross my mind. During the vacation we went to a nice dinner then Gabe took me to a look out spot in Roosevelt National Forest to watch the sunset. We took some pictures then Gabe kindly asked me to put my phone away and started telling me how much he had loved our trip & how much I meant to him. I remember thinking “huh that’s really nice to say” still having NO idea. Next thing I knew, he was down on one knee and popped the ring out!"
Angelina wore a stunning, fitted gown by Evelyn Bridal. She accessorized with a duet by Sara Gabriel.
"I loved the variety of styles I saw online. I knew I had to come in & try dresses on!"
The day was full of dancing + fun, with a slight twist at the end of the night.
"Our DJ actually quit during dinner. Legitimately packed up his equipment and left during dinner! Thankfully, we had a small wedding and my Uncle got us a new DJ there in 30 minutes!"
