Fellow woman-owned business, Pivot, is a hidden gem tucked in to the historic Short North Arts District, only blocks away from our Flagship Columbus boutique. Inside, the airy space houses a curated collection of shoes, handbags and accessories for the modern woman.
Founder + owner, Nicci Hicks, opened the shop in July of 2022, after years of a career as a corporate lawyer [hence the name Pivot]! Nicci's goal for her beautiful boutique is to allow customers to shop their values - supporting women and Black-owned brands with sustainability in mind.
In addition to keeping her values at the forefront of her brand, Nicci also has an impeccable eye for style, providing her customers with truly unique + stunning pieces. We were lucky enough to pick up a few bridal faves + style our designer sample gowns.
To start out, we styled the classic Loeffler Randall Camellia Pearl Pleated Bow Sandals with Karen Willis Holmes Nikki - a chic + modern bridal gown featuring a draped v-neck bodice. This gorgeous ruching + daring slit complemented the delicate ruching of the shoe, making for a classic wedding day look with a modern edge.
The second pair of Loeffler Randall shoes - the Camellia Embroidered Pleated Bow Sandals - were covered in beautiful floral eyelet lace, so we decided to style them with a dress equally as romantic. Sachin & Babi Penny is an a-line satin gown featuring floral jacquard. A deep v neckline + delicate straps tie together this dreamy wedding day look.
Finally, for our cold-weather brides, we styled Shoe the Bear kitten heel booties with a gorgeous Lazaro ball gown. The darker tones throughout the dress pair beautifully with a heavier shoe, and is perfect for the modern, unique bride looking for a winter wedding day look!
We had so much fun styling these wedding day looks with Pivot! Shop their curated selection of shoes at their Short North boutique or online!
